Dear Isla Katherine,
My little sugar plum. I adore you. I never knew that someone could have my whole heart the way that you do. You rocked our world when you showed up three weeks early, and since that moment, my heart will never be my own again.
This past year has been the most amazing journey. Not everything was how we had hoped it would go, but we all survived together. I am so blessed to have been with you and watched you grow almost every single day of your first year of your life. It's incredible to see how you have changed.
You are the sweetest, loviest baby. Your poor feelings get hurt so easily, but you have perfected your head on the should, tightly grabbing hugs. And I love each and every one of them. You are stubborn and determined. You are goofy and silly. Your personality shines through a little more each day. Your father and I think you are just the best thing in the world. We are so proud to be your parents and amazed that we made such a beautiful soul.
