Words.

Hello there.  I am still here.  This is one of the busiest times of the year (besides my favorite month of the year, October) and I'm consumed with work, weddings, friends/family and not to mention an amazing book I can't seem to put down.  Yes, ladies, it is THAT good.  I'm not going to get into how liberating it is and how your hubby/boyfriends/random guy on the corner will love you for it, but you should read it.  Fifty Shades of Grey.  Not for the shy or faint of heart, oh my...

How are men so different from us?  As I have gotten older and grown up with my husband, it still baffles me that men communicate so differently.  They say exactly what they mean, yet we still look for all the feelings/hidden meanings in the message.  I tend to over analyze our conversations and wish he would say something or do something, but never tell him.  I have decided more recently, after reading a few blogs and reading this series, that I need to actually tell him.  So I have been.  It's been nice.  If I can't verbalize it, I'll email/text it to him so at least he knows.  I find it's a scary thing to be so open sometimes, even with the one who already has your heart and soul.  It's a wonderful feeling when you do.

All things new and exciting...

I subscribe to a few different blogs, and my typical morning routine {while still in bed} is to read all my blogs that are emailed to me and to delete as much of my junk mail as possible.  oh, hello friend posted a blog about tattoos today, and now I REALLY want another one.  I have been thinking about it before and trying to figure out what else I should get.  I love my first tattoo, and I think tattoos {when done right} are beautiful.  You have to check out her blog - there are some gorgeous images on there.  These are a few of my favorites that she posted as inspiration...

I love written text, I don't know why, but I'm just drawn to it.  I had the idea to eventually have my kids {don't get too excited out there - we are in no way near ready for that :o) yet} names tattooed in their kiddo handwriting.  Just planning for the future - doing what I do best.  So what to get???  I have no idea.  I thought it would be neat to have meaningful dates put down my right side.  I think I have a hard time with images because I might eventually hate {insert whatever you want} birds, owls, etc that I might think is cute now.  But words that have meaning for me now, I don't think they will become less important as I grow old. It's a thought....

D always kept talking about getting me a Kindle because I love reading books.  He laughs at me, but I do.  A good book can completely capture my mind, and I seriously will not stop reading it until it's done.  The funny thing is most of the good ones I have to read again because I missed half of it trying to go so fast. Guess what the boy surprised me with yesterday?

I am really excited about it!  It's so small, and although I love the feel of an actual book in my hands, I really think I'll like this as well.  It can go anywhere with out being bulky and literally weighing me down.  I just finished a series I was re-reading, and I am excited to start a new one he put on there for me.  I also have decided that I can only read at night.  If I start reading in the morning - there goes my motivation to work or do anything for that matter.

I also had to share the new little family that is outside our front door.  Sorry, these pictures are HORRIBLE, but all I have is an iPhone 3GS.  I noticed a nest outside our door about 2 weeks ago, and there were little birdies chirping away!  I check on them every day - they are so cute.  Even though they make a huge mess on our sidewalk, I'll still think they are adorable.

The view from my kitchen sitting area - where I peek at them every morning!

Trying to get a little closer, but they just hide from me...

I have also been really productive lately - rock on me.  Happy Thursday !
