34 Weeks

Tenth Doctors Appointment
I was excited to go to this appointment.  It really wasn't much different than those in the past, but I wanted to hear how our little girl was growing.  If she was still a little small, I'd get to see her in a sonogram.  If she was just right, all was well and no added worries for me.  All was well in the iron/weight/swelling departments.  No drastic changes there.  When the doctor came in, she checked my belly size, and I was right where I'm supposed to be - yay!  The heart beat was nice and strong so no reason to do the sonogram this week.  She felt for her position and said she is still facing down, which is great.  We went over some instructions for when I go into labor, and then I was free to go.  I scheduled my remaining appointments, which blew me away.  Only 5 weeks (7 at the most) to go!

Week 34
Size of Baby Walker  4.75 pounds = size of a eggplant!
Symptoms  Our little girl has had the hiccups more this past week.  It's the most interesting thing, in that it really feels more like a tap by her hand vs just a little hiccup.  It is always in my lower abdomen and usually last about 1-2 minutes.  Both D and my brother felt her this past weekend.  I still feel like I'm getting bigger with each day.  I am pretty mobile/flexible, but I have a feeling that's not going to last too much longer.  She is also always positioned with her feet/bum in my right ribs and her head/hands are usually on my lower left side.  She really likes to take up as much room as she can.  She's had a few good kicks on me this past week too!
Cravings/Aversions  Oh my sweet tooth.  I haven't had the best diet this past week, but I've tried to not indulge by eating a ton of bad items.  Small quantities are better, right?  I try to just keep the sweets out of the house, but having my mom make her homemade cinnamon rolls and rice krispy treats are killer.
Exercise  I've done quite a few things that are pretty active, but not any actual workout sessions.  Mostly it involves playing with the pups, cleaning both my car, garage and the house, then helping D with some parts on the shed.  I'm hoping to go to yoga this week, and I think I need to add squats to my morning routine...
Sleep  There was one night this past week that I could not get comfortable.  All the other nights have been pretty good, but it's the worst.  I just could not get comfortable.  D and I did get to sleep in both on Saturday and on Sunday.  Really, we don't sleep in all that long, but it's really just the idea that we don't have to get up at any particular time.  It's wonderful and one of my favorite things.
Best moment of the week...   I had a photographer friend come over with a stylist and doll me up on Thursday for a maternity shoot.  She so sweetly offered to take the photos of me, so we made an afternoon of it.  I can't wait to see the photos!  We also took Sunday to really just relax.  My brother was back from Louisiana, and we ate at this delicious French bakery for breakfast, followed by embracing the gorgeous day outside at Jester King Brewery and ended the day lazily on the couch with the pups.  I don't normally have that unproductive of a day, but it was lovely.    Oh, well we did wash our cars that afternoon, so I got something checked off the list
Changes  I am starting to read more about the first few months, which will be helpful here in a few weeks.  I know that most of the knowledge is instinctual and I'll learn as I go.  However, having just a refresher of what to expect is always helpful.
Looking forward to... spring break and having D home for a week.  I don't think we are going to do a specific 'baby moon', but we'll spend this week doing something fun.  I still can't believe it's almost March...
