I make an honest effort to eat on the healthy side and not stockpile the house with unhealthy snacks. The one thing that I know I need more of is vegetables. When I was reading through the top 30 foods, it also detailed ways to try the different foods. I have never had kale, but the idea of kale chips sounded like a good alternative.
I bought a bundle of kale at the store this afternoon and made the fastest and easiest snack ever. The first things you need to do is wash the kale. I tore off all the leaves from the stem and ripped them into bite sized pieces. Toss the pieces in extra-virgin olive oil, salt and pepper them, then spread them onto a cookie sheet. Pre-heat the oven to 300 degrees and bake for 25 minutes or until crispy.

Let them cool on a paper towel - Enjoy!
I could not believe how light and tasty the kale chips were. I've kept them out on the counter and D, Scott and I have been munching on them through out the day. If you want a little more punch, you can sprinkle on different seasonings. I recommend you trying this delicious little snack!

I was so happy to see that Kale made the list! I have been making this snack for awhile and sometimes I will toss the Kale with apple cider vinegar before baking for an added bite.
