Gold Medal

My eyes have been glued to the TV since last Saturday, which is pretty rare in this household.  Every night I have been mesmerized by all the events, and I don't think I've sat on my bum this much since I can remember...  I love the Olympics!  Have you been watching?  What has been your favorite win/event?  I will watch all of them, but yesterday, I watched the free routine finale in duet synchronized swimming - holy cow!  Those ladies amaze me. 


Did I mention that we had an Opening Ceremonies Party?  My friends have the best parties.  Everyone chose a country and then had to dress and bring a dish that represented the country.  We chose Mexico.  The host had to go with Great Britain, and we had representatives from Jamaica, China and Germany. 

 I really wanted to get full sized sombreros, but they were WAY too expensive.  The mini plastic ones did the job though. This was the spread that I brought, mostly because I just love chips and queso!

As the night went on, we had some 'events' each country tried to medal in, like naming as many events in 2 minutes, tequila shots (suggested by Mexico) and pin the tail on the donkey. 

And in the mix of all the fun, we made sure not to miss US walk across the screen!  

Can't the Olympics be on ALL the time?
