Madness - KU winning last night. I honestly couldn't watch most of the game. I think I started to really pay attention in the last 5 minutes, which is when they really started to turn it around. D was hilarious when they won. He had a few friends over and grilled out, which meant D had a few beers, and there was talk of him making a victory lap around the neighborhood. It reminded me of 2008, when we were on Mass Street celebrating the night away.
Oh and we saw the Hunger Games on Friday with friends.
Loved it. I of course compared it to the book the entire time. It really was very similar, but since I just read it last week, I had a hard time with some of the changes. Initially I didn't like who they cast for Peeta. He was described as much taller and built than her, and my image of him in my head was so much different. However, he did a great job making you love him in the movie. The 2.5 hours flew by and I definitely want to watch it again!
One of my favorite food blogs right now is The Pastry Affair. If you haven't read this blog, you need to. The images are mouthwatering and the woopie pie recipe she did the other day - YUM! Don't read on an empty stomach!
Stand up paddle boarding! I went for the first time this afternoon and just loved it. It was the perfect day, with just enough sun and the water was still cold enough that it was refreshing. Wish I would have gotten some pictures, but there was nowhere to put my iPhone. I must say, I didn't fall at all which I thought was an accomplishment!
Wishing that I get to run the San Francisco half marathon in October. My loving friend Katie, that lives in San Fran, signed us up for the lottery pick. It's such a popular marathon, that only selected people can run. Most know it as the Tiffany's necklace marathon. Yep, you get that at the end of the race, how cool is that? Might be starting to train for my second half come April.
To paint the outside of my house. We've been talking about it, but it's a large project. We'd have to replace a lot of boards and definitely need some time to do so. Placed some wildflowers outside our door and you can see the not so pretty pink/tan-hue our house currently is.
Happy April Fools Day!
